Description
Various techniques for time frequency decomposition have recently been developed and continue to evolve. Applied and Computational
Harmonic Analysis, an interdisciplinary journal, publishes high-quality papers in all areas related to the applied and computational
aspects of harmonic analysis, with special emphasis on wavelet analysis and signal processing. The objectives of this journal are to
chronicle the important publications in the rapidly growing field of wavelet analysis and to stimulate research in the area.
The
subject is considered a major breakthrough in mathematical sciences and provides a common link between mathematicians and engineers.
Wavelets are considered in their broadest sense, covering topics in related areas such as:
• Decomposition and reconstruction
algorithms • Subdivision algorithms • Continuous and discrete wavelet transform • Time-frequency localization
• Phase-space analysis • Subband coding • Image compression • Real-time filtering •
Radar and sonar applications • Transient analysis • Medical imaging • Multigrid methods • Frames
