MICROBIOLOGY: BACTERIOLOGY, MYCOLOGY, PARASITOLOGY AND VIROLOGY (SECTION 4 EMBASE)
Microbiology: Bacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology and Virology (Section 4 EMBASE)Excerpta Medica Abstract Journal

Description

This journal aims to provide its readers with a swift, yet complete, current awareness service. This is achieved both by the scope and structure of the journal, key features of which are:-

• Careful selection of relevant abstracts (and other bibliographic data) from the latest issues of 4,000 leading international biomedical journals.

• The arrangement, within each journal issue, of abstracts into separate chapters reflecting general aspects of infectious diseases, diagnosis, treatment, epidemiology and prevention of disease followed by specific chapters on bacteriology, parasitology, mycology, virology, algae and sexually transmitted diseases. The scope of this journal specifically excludes plant infections, veterinary infections (unless relevant to human disease) and case reports on infectious disease where the organism is not identified. The scope includes topics such as immunity to infection, in vitro studies with antimicrobial agents, disinfection and sterilisation, microbial biochemistry and biotechnology and infectious disease and infestation in humans caused by insects.

• Detailed author and keyword indexes to enable the reader to locate items of special interest.
