Subscription Types

Institutional
Applies to libraries, institutions and individuals whose employer pays for the subscription.

Personal
Applies to individuals paying with a personal cheque or credit card. No company/institutional cheques accepted.

Reduced
Applies to junior doctors within 5 years of qualification and postgraduate students in full or part-time study, paying with a personal cheque or credit card. No company/institutional cheques accepted. Proof of status is required.

Student (applies to The Lancet only)
Applies to undergraduate students only, paying with a personal cheque or credit card. Proof of status is required.

Ordering Information

All subscriptions must be pre-paid.
All prices and publication dates are subject to change without notice and refunds cannot normally be issued once a subscription has commenced.
Prices include postage and handling and are paid according to the domicile of the recipient.
Sterling prices are applicable for copies delivered into the United Kingdom, Euro prices for all European Union Countries, irrespective of single currency (Euro) adoption. North American US Dollar prices are applicable for copies delivered into Canada and the United States, Yen prices for Japan and US Dollar prices to all other countries.
Non-Value Added Tax (VAT) registered customers in the European Union (EU) should add the appropriate VAT rate applicable in their country to the prices.
VAT-registered customers should include their VAT registration number with their order.
Customers in Canada and the following United States states must add tax at the applicable rate. CA, CO, DC, MA, NJ, NY. In all other countries local taxes may apply.

Dispatch and Claims

Claims for missing issues will be met, free of charge, if made within three months of the date of dispatch.

When ordering, please state clearly the publication required and the full send-to address, including ZIP/postal code and country name (if this is different from previous year, please include old address).

Please make cheques payable to The Lancet.

Credit Cards

Credit Cards are generally accepted from individuals only. When paying by credit card, please include the following details with your order:
type of card, card number, expiry date, card holder’s address (if different from subscription address), card holder’s signature

Address Changes

Please notify us promptly of address changes, mentioning both the OLD and NEW address, your subscription number(s) and complete list of journals ordered. If possible, please enclose a copy of the existing address label from one of the journals. Please send notification to the address directly below.
