Areas of Expertise: Process of publishing, EES, working with editors, authors and reviewers to add value to the peer review process

Phillipe has served in each of Elsevier’s three divisions worldwide, in a variety of publishing, marketing, operations and product innovation roles. As a former scientist, he has an in-depth knowledge of the academic world and actively seeks to build relationships with Elsevier’s external editors, authors and reviewers.

Recognizing that online peer review techniques are high on the academic agenda, Phillipe has been fully committed to integrating abstracting and indexing services into EES, Elsevier Editorial System or the online peer review highway. Philippe is a regular speaker at Elsevier’s editor conferences and strives to provide editors with the tools they need to best serve their journal’s authors and reviewers.

He believes that Elsevier plays an integrated role within the academic community and that despite–or because of–the digital revolution sweeping the STM publishing industry, the shared values of curiosity, progress and serving the community remain unchanged.
