Prior to being appointed to the VP Marketing for Corporate Markets in 2008 , Amanda served as the Director of Bibliographic Databases and oversaw the marketing of all Academic & Goverment electronic products, guiding the highly successful marketing launch of Scopus. Amanda is an authority on leading edge STM information, full text publishing and the Abstracting & Indexing (A&I) industry in terms of issues and developments
Amanda joined Elsevier in 1989 after working in medical research at the Cardiothoracic Institute in London. Beginning as a publishing editor, Amanda soon moved into managerial roles in strategy and operations, playing a pivotal role in gearing up Elsevier to face the challenges and opportunities provided by electronic publishing.
