Study looking at high-school students' use of ScienceDirect reports positive impacts

In 2009, External link  Collaborative Research Associates colleagues Anne Clark and Wendy Limbert looked at impacts of the ScienceDirect High School Access Program.

As you can see in the newly published Library Connect white paper #2, "External link  ScienceDirect High School Access Program: Strengths, Challenges and Opportunities," Anne and Wendy found positive impacts, including that:

  • ScienceDirect benefits not only students in science research programs, but also students in classes across the curriculum
  • 90% of students participating in the study reported using ScienceDirect helps their overall academic achievement
