Fast publication: Announcing 'Accepted Manuscripts' on ScienceDirect
We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Ludovic Daumont on recently receiving the JQSRT 'Young Scientist Award in Spectroscopy' and also Gabriele Brizzi for receiving Honourable Mention in Spectroscopy.
Both of these young scientists were recognized at the recent 10th International Biennial HITRAN Conference (22nd – 24th June 2008 at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA). Daumont received a certificate and a cash prize and Brizzi also received a certificate.
Description
Papers with the following subject areas are suitable for publication in the Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy
and Radiative Transfer:
- Theoretical and experimental aspects of the spectra of atoms, molecules, ions, and plasmas.
- Spectral lineshape studies including models and computational algorithms.
- Atmospheric spectroscopy.
- Theoretical
and experimental aspects of light scattering.
- Application of light scattering in particle characterization and remote sensing.
- Application of light scattering in biological sciences and medicine.
- Radiative transfer in absorbing, emitting, and
scattering media.
- Radiative transfer in stochastic media.
- Electromagnetic energy transfer with near-field, nano-scale,
and coherent effects.
- Planetary, atmospheric, and environmental radiative transfer.
- Radiative transfer in high-temperature
environments, combustion systems, and fires.
- Radiant energy emission from plasmas.
