	GONDWANA RESEARCH ISSN: 1342-937X Editors Biography M. Santosh, Dept. of Natural Environmental Science, Faculty of Science, Kochi University, Akebono-cho 2-5-1, Kochi 780-8520, Japan Prof. M. Santosh is the founding editor of "Gondwana Research" and is also its Editor-in-Chief since the inception of this journal in 1996. He is the Secretary General of the International Association for Gondwana Research. Educational background includes B.Sc. (1978, Kerala University), M.Sc. (1981, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee) Ph.D. (1986, Cochin University of Science and Technology) and D.Sc. (Osaka City University, Japan). Formerly Senior Scientist at the Centre for Earth Science Studies (India), he is currently working as Professor at the Kochi University, Japan since 2000. His fields of research include igneous and metamorphic petrology, geochemistry, ore geology and tectonics with special reference to the origin of continents and supercontinents, particularly the Gondwana supercontinent. He has published over 300 research papers in leading earth science journals, edited several Memoir volumes and journal special issues, and has co-authored a book on Continents and Supercontinents published by Oxford Press.
