Michael H. Crawford is a Cardiologist with 30 years experience in the field. He is currently Professor of Medicine and Associate
Chief of Cardiology for Clinical Programs at the University of California at San Francisco. He is the former Chief of Cardiology at
the University of New Mexico. He recently completed a term on the Board of Governors of the American College of Cardiology and is a
coauthor of their self-assessment program in Cardiology. Also, he is a former Chairman of the Council on Clinical Cardiology of the
American Heart Association and a section editor on their Clinical Cardiology Consult series. In addition, he is a fellow of the American
College of Physicians and a member of the Association of University Cardiologists and the Western Association of Physicians. Dr. Crawford
is co-lead editor of the textbook Cardiology and editor of 9 other books including Current Diagnosis and Treatment in Cardiology. His
research interest is the effect of cardiovascular disease on left ventricular performance and he has over 280 published research papers,
reviews and book chapters. |
