K. Attenborough, Open University, Milton Keynes, UKProfessor Keith Attenborough received his PhD in Applied Science from the University of Leeds and in 1969 spent a year as a research fellow
at the Unniversity of Liverpool. In 1970 he joined the Open University as a Lecturer in Engineering mechanics, became Senior Lecturer
in 1976, Reader in Acoustics in 1982 and since 1992 has been Professor of Acoustics.
Professor Attenborough is an Elected Fellow of
the (UK) Institute of Acoustics and theAcoustical Society of America. His research interests include acoustics of porous materials, outdoor
sound propagation and subjective aspects of noise. In 1996 he was awarded the Rayleigh Medal from the Institute of Acoustics and has
published over 100 papers and 2 books.
In addition to being an Associate Editor for Applied Acoustics, Professor Attenborough
is also an Associate Editor for Acoustica and visiting Professor at the University of Mississippi and the National Center for
Physical Acoustics. |
