What is Procedia Technology?
Procedia Technology is an open access product focusing entirely on publishing conference proceedings,
enabling fast dissemination so that conference delegates can publish their papers in a dedicated online issue on Sciverse ScienceDirect.
Procedia Technology will publish papers from conferences with an emphasis in technology or applied engineering disciplines, for
example electronics and information technology. Conferences should be relevant to an international audience, with a focused theme and
cover timely topics.
How are conferences evaluated for inclusion in Procedia Technology?
Conference proceedings are accepted
for publication in Procedia Technology based on suitability of scope and are required to meet certain criteria, including the assurance
that all papers are original, will be subject to peer review and will not be published elsewhere. Elsevier will evaluate all proposals
on the basis of key information related to the conference provided by the organisers, for example, the conference website, programme,
supporting organisation and contact details of the committee and keynote speakers. Elsevier may make contact with members of the committee
and keynote speakers to obtain further information about the conference during the evaluation process.
What is the process for
submitting conference proceedings to Procedia Technology?
Proposals should be prepared using the template here and sent to:

What does Procedia
Technology offer authors and conferences organizers?
Procedia Technology offers a single, highly recognized platform where conference
papers can be hosted and accessed by millions of researchers. Authors then know where to go to keep abreast of the latest developments
in their field. All proceedings appear online, on Sciverse ScienceDirect, within 8 weeks of acceptance of the final manuscripts via the
conference organizer and are freely available to all users. Procedia Technology offers authors and conference organizers a fast and cost
effective way to provide maximum exposure for their papers.
Templates (both Latex and Word) are provided to assist in the publication
and the final online papers contain linked references, XML versions and DOI numbers.
Why should conference organizers choose
Procedia Technology?
There is no limit to the amount of papers a Procedia Technology issue can contain and pricing is affordable,
clear and transparent. Procedia Technology offers immediate access for all, with papers online within 8 weeks of acceptance, and open
access providing maximum exposure for individual papers and the related conference. Organizers are being credited on the actual issue
and are fully responsible for quality control, the review process and the content of individual conference papers.
What are the
costs associated with Procedia Technology?
There is an agreed fee, based on the size of the proceedings, which includes online
publication on Sciverse ScienceDirect and free access after acceptance. In addition to the online version there is the possibility to
purchase paper copies, CD-ROMs and USB sticks. Moreover, interactive media possibilities such as webcasts and web seminars can be acquired
for extra exposure both before and after the conference.
Can Procedia Technology be sponsored?
We are open to discussing
sponsoring possibilities at all times. Sponsors can include funding bodies, government agencies and/or industry. Benefits to sponsors
include visibility amongst a scientific audience and the opportunity to communicate messages via a peer-reviewed platform. Benefits to
authors and conference organizers are extra exposure of the conference and reduced costs to the overall conference budget.
