Aims and Scope:
The journal publishes papers on all structural, functional and evolutionary aspects of genes, chromatin, chromosomes
and genomes of marine (and freshwater) organisms. It deals with new genome-enabled insights into the broader framework of freshwater
and marine (ocean) science. Considered for publication are papers on all structural, functional and evolutionary aspects of genes, chromatin,
chromosomes and genomes of marine (and fresh water) organisms. Topics within the scope of this journal include:
• Population
genomics
• Developmental genomics
• Population ecology/evolution genomics
• Comparative genomics
More
specific topics include: biogeochemistry, microbial carbon utilization and metabolic pathways, ecosystem modelling, distribution and
phylogenetic characterization of aquatic organisms, genomics applied to microbial ecology, tracking of infectious diseases, environmental
stress.
