Ecological Informatics is devoted to the publication of high quality, peer-reviewed articles on all aspects of ecoinformatics,
computational ecology and systems ecology, and special issues on topics of current interest. The scope of the journal includes ecogenomics,
information processing and transfer in ecosystems, computational approaches to ecological scales and complexity, computer simulation
and forecasting of ecosystem behaviour, computational ordination and clustering of ecological patterns at micro- and macroscales, management
of ecological data. The nature of the journal is highly interdisciplinary publishing high quality papers in the frontier between genomics,
biology, ecology, computer and information sciences.
Ecological Informatics will publish research in the following areas:
Theory and applications of ecoinformatics - Ecogenomics and biogeography - Principles of ecological information processing and transfer
- Novel developments in bio-inspired computation and computer design, machine learning and artificial intelligence - Spatio-temporal
