Bioorganic Chemistry publishes accounts of research that are at the interface of chemistry and biology. The guiding principle that the
Editorial Board will follow in accepting manuscripts for publication is that the research either uses the principles and techniques of
organic and physical organic chemistry in attempting to solve some problem of relevance to biology or describes chemical studies that
are inspired by some biological observation. Within this context, manuscripts suitable for submission are ones that deal with such topics
as enzymology, enzyme models, biosynthesis and combinatorial biosynthesis, biomimetic synthesis, molecular recognition, protein and peptide
chemistry, nucleic acid chemistry (including ribozymes and antisense strategies), immunology (including catalytic antibodies), biosensors,
the design and synthesis of therapeutics, proteomics, and genomics. In addition, the theoretical treatment of any of these topics is
appropriate, as is the application of biophysical techniques to advance our understanding of one of these topics. The Journal publishes
regular articles, preliminary communications, reviews and mini-reviews.
Comments and Proposals: Elsevier also publishes books
in this area. If you have a suggestion for a book topic or would like to submit a new book proposal, please contact us at: chemistry@elsevier.com
