Guide for Authors
The Electricity Journal welcomes submissions from authors
who present well-reasoned, topical papers that have not previously appeared in other publications. The goal of the Journal is to provide
balanced views on thought provoking issues. We reserve the right to reject any submission that does not contribute to the high standards
that the Journal seeks to maintain.
Most articles are 3000 to 5000 words in length. It is important that articles address electricity
policy issues that will be of broad appeal, although regional issues of uncommon interest will frequently be considered.
Articles
must be documented as appropriate. The Harvard Blue Book shall be the standard for all citations, utilizing endnotes, not references.
It is important to provide complete author names (not initials or only last names), complete publication titles and dates, specific publishing
locations and page numbers. Web URLs shall be considered as a supplement to, not a replacement for, conventional references. If URLs
are submitted, please provide a specific article reference, not just a home-page link. It is also important for the author to advise
when the reference material on the web was last visited to insure that it has not been updated prior to publication.
Authors will
frequently incorporate graphics within papers to amplify and/or demonstrate relevant information. Any submitted graphics must be camera-ready
figures in black and white to permit clarity in the printing process.
All submissions shall be in the Word format. A transfer of copyright
shall be required to be executed by authors prior to publication. It is important to include complete biographical and contact information
with each submission. This would include, but not be limited to, mailing addresses(no PO Boxes), email addresses, phone and fax numbers,
etc.
The Editors will endeavor to quickly review all submissions, and reserve the right to edit papers as deemed appropriate. To the
extent possible, authors will be engaged to discuss publication acceptance, rewrites and/or editorial changes.
Submission to this
journal proceeds totally online and you will be guided stepwise through the creation and uploading of your files. The system automatically
converts source files to a single PDF file of the article, which is used in the peer-review process. Please note that even though manuscript
source files are converted to PDF files at submission for the review process, these source files are needed for further processing after
acceptance. All correspondence, including notification of the Editor's decision and requests for revision, takes place by e-mail removing
the need for a paper trail.

Changes to Authorship
This policy concerns the addition, deletion, or rearrangement of author names in the authorship of accepted manuscripts:
Before the
accepted manuscript is published in an online issue: Requests to add or remove an author, or to rearrange the author names, must
be sent to the Journal Manager from the corresponding author of the accepted manuscript and must include: (a) the reason the name should
be added or removed, or the author names rearranged and (b) written confirmation (e-mail, fax, letter) from all authors that they agree
with the addition, removal or rearrangement. In the case of addition or removal of authors, this includes confirmation from the author
being added or removed. Requests that are not sent by the corresponding author will be forwarded by the Journal Manager to the corresponding
author, who must follow the procedure as described above. Note that: (1) Journal Managers will inform the Journal Editors of any such
requests and (2) publication of the accepted manuscript in an online issue is suspended until authorship has been agreed.
After
the accepted manuscript is published in an online issue: Any requests to add, delete, or rearrange author names in an article published
in an online issue will follow the same policies as noted above and result in a corrigendum.
