This journal aims to provide its readers with a swift, yet complete, current awareness service. This is achieved
both by the scope and structure of the journal, key features of which are:
• Careful selection of relevant abstracts (and other
bibliographic data) from the latest issues of 4,000 leading international biomedical journals.
• The arrangement, within each
issue, of abstracts into separate chapters devoted to a specific topic. The journal covers the toxic mechanisms and effects of both medicinal
and non-medicinal substances. In addition to toxicology of this wide range of substances, studies are also included on predictive toxicology,
regulatory toxicology and treatment. Adverse reactions to drugs used within therapeutic dose ranges are not covered here but can be found
in Section 38: Adverse Reactions Titles. Routine use of carcinogens, mutagens and teratogens are also excluded.
• Detailed author
and keyword indexes to allow the reader to locate items of special interest.
