This journal aims to provide its readers with a swift, yet complete, current awareness service. This is achieved
both by the scope and structure of the journal, key features of which are:-
• Careful selection of relevant abstracts (and other
bibliographic data) from the latest issues of 4,000 leading international biomedical journals.
• The arrangement, within each
issue, of abstracts into separate chapters devoted to a specific topic. The journal covers the general, diagnostic and surgical aspects
of orthopedics, and includes surgical aspects of other bone diseases, bone tumors, trauma of the musculoskeletal system and biomechanics
of the musculoskeletal system. The journal does not cover non-surgical aspects of arthritis and rheumatism which are covered in Section
31: Arthritis and Rheumatism.
• Detailed author and keyword indexes to allow the reader to locate items of special interest.
