SUBMISSION: Please send the original manuscript plus one complete copy to the
Guest Editor on or before the due date. Original illustrations should also be sent in duplicate to the Guest Editor. The Author Information
Form, Copyright Transfer Form, and the Permission to Reprint form should be forwarded to Ms Ciferni, upon accepting the invitation to
contribute the specific issue of
Clinics in Dermatology.
WORD PROCESSING: Your manuscript may be E-mailed to the Guest
Editor, but you should also provide two hard copies, printed on 8.5" x 11" white paper. Please include a disc. Leave 1-inch margins
on all sides and double-space the entire manuscript, including references and tables. The senior author's name and page number should
appear on each page.
SPELLING AND STYLE: Consult either
Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary or, for technical terms,
Dorland's Illustrated Medical Dictionary. For proper manuscript style, the
AMA Style Manual is preferred. Please
use American spellings.
Drug names should be listed at the end of each chapter. The American generic name is used
within the text,
the American brand name is then given with the generic name at the end, provided the patent is still in effect. For example, tetracycline
is off patent, but ciprofloxacin would be listed as:

Acknowledgments must be kept simple:
Dr. Jane Jones contributed the histopathological
studies. Mr. John Jones assisted in the preparation of the manuscript.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY: Authors are required
to disclose commercial or similar relationships to products or companies mentioned in/or related to the subject matter of the article
being submitted. Sources of funding for the article should be acknowledged in a footnote on the title page. Affiliations of authors
should include corporate appointments relating to or about products or companies mentioned in the article, or otherwise bearing on the
subject matter thereof. Other pertinent financial relationships, such as consultancies, stock ownership or other equity interests or
patent-licensing arrangements, should be disclosed to the Editor-in-Chief in the cover letter at the time of submission. Such relationships
may be disclosed in the Journal at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief in footnotes appearing on the title page. Questions about this
policy should be directed to the Editor-in-Chief.
References should be numbered in the order of citation and listed at the
end of the text.
Clinics in Dermatology uses the Vancouver reference style. Please follow the examples listed below when preparing
your references.

For proper journal abbreviations,
please use the Index Medicus abbreviations. List only the
first three authors, then et al.
TABLES: Cite all tables in
the manuscript in numerical order. Only actual tabular material should be submitted in table form. Classifications and simple lists should
be incorporated into the text itself.
FIGURES: Illustrations should appear at the end of the manuscript and not in the
text. Cite each figure in the manuscript in numerical order. Figures may be (1) black and white
photographs, (2) line art, or (3) color
photographs.
Please consult with the guest editor about the use of color. If an atlas will be used for this issue of
Clinics
in Dermatology, the guest editor will provide instructions.
If supplying the illustrations in a digital format, please also provide
a good print-out.
Identify all illustrations lightly in pencil on the back of the figure, indicating author name, figure number,
and the top of the figure.
PERMISSIONS: For any illustration or table that has been published previously, written permission
must be obtained from the original publisher
and a credit line must be added to the manuscript. Include the original letters of permission
when you submit your Author Information Form.
Do not delay submission of the manuscript pending arrival of permissions; rather, send
copies of your request letters, indicating clearly to which figure or table in the manuscript the permission letter refers. A permission
request form, which may be duplicated, is attached for your use.
