Veterinary Immunology and Immunopathology deals with the study of veterinary immunology and immunopathology as applied to
animals, particularly agricultural and companion animals as well as wildlife (studies on species which are more primitive than fish will
not be considered).
It reports basic, comparative and clinical immunology research studies pertaining to these animal species including:
biology of cells and mechanisms of the immune system, immunochemistry, immunodeficiencies, immunodiagnosis, immunogenetics, immunopathology,
immunology of infectious disease and tumours, immunoprophylaxis to infectious disease including vaccine development and delivery, immunological
aspects of pregnancy including passive immunity, reagent development including development of antibodies to new differentiation antigens
and cytokines and gene isolation, interaction of the immune system with other tissues including autoimmunity, transplantation immunology.
