The aims of Micron are to serve as an interdisciplinary forum for all work which involves the design,
application, practice or theory of microscopy and microanalysis. The journal will also publish papers and reports on optical and electron
beam systems linked to computer image processing and other image analytical methods.
The journal is published in English and embraces
original research work in biology, medicine, metallurgy, materials sciences and physical sciences. One of the aims is to publish work
within the shortest possible time while maintaining a high standard of refereeing and presentation. Twelve free pages of colour are available
to authors of those papers in which colour is essential to convey the full information content of the image. These pages will be decided
at the Editors' discretion.
