Physica C (Superconductivity and its Applications) serves as a rapid channel for peer reviewed publications on superconductivity,
its applications and related subjects, covering new developments in superconductivity; such as new materials, unconventional superconductors
and Josephson effects. The journal contains papers on the theoretical issues of superconductivity, reports on measurements of a wide
variety of physical properties of both type I and type II superconducting materials including the vortex phenomena in superconductors.
In the Applied Superconductivity section, articles on all aspects of superconductivity relevant to conductor fabrication and electronic
applications are published. Large-scale applications (power and high magnetic fields), superconducting electronics (high speed switches,
filter, cavity and detectors) and materials research aimed at such applications are included, with special emphasis on the physical phenomena,
studied both experimentally and theoretically.
Subject Area description:
Properties of superconducting materials and applications
of superconductors including, bulk forms, thin films, and nano-scale structures; optical, thermo-physical, mechanical, electro-magnetic
and chemical properties; characterization of phase composition and microstructure; Josephson junctions and effects; theory and modelling;
devices and measurement tools.
