Description

Structural Change and Economic Dynamics publishes articles about theoretical, applied and methodological aspects of structural change in economic systems. An important aim is to facilitate communication among research institutes and individual researchers who are actively engaged in the study of structural change.

The journal publishes work about continuity and structural breaks in economic, technological, behavioural and institutional patterns. Articles might examine the effects of the incorporation of new technologies, the changing pattern in income-distribution and employment, the interdependence between environmental and economic change, and so on. SCED encourages articles about statistical and econometric techniques suitable for this type of research. The journal also publishes pure theoretical research on the structural dynamics of economic systems, in particular in the field of multisectoral analysis, the application of difference and differential equations and of the theory of bifurcations and chaos to analyse economic dynamics.

Special features:

thematic issues: e.g. on structural change and unemployment, technological and economic change, environment and economics, evolution and economic structures;

archive material: "classics", e.g. survey-type article by a top author or English translation of an important article by a top author originally published "locally";

practitioners' corner: interesting "work-in-progress", for which theory is not yet fully developed/founded.
