Description
The main objective of Ocean Modelling is to provide rapid communication between those interested in ocean modelling, whether
through direct observation, or through analytical, numerical or laboratory models. Because of the intimate links between ocean and atmosphere,
involvement of scientists interested in influences of either medium on the other is welcome. The journal has a wide scope and includes
ocean-atmosphere interaction in various forms as well as pure ocean results. In addition to peer-reviewed papers, the journal provides
preliminary communications and discussions. Authors are invited to submit datafiles, model animations or other electronic-only information
in support of their submission.
To speed up the review process, all authors are requested to submit their paper electronically.
Ocean Modelling is the successor of the SCOR WG 49 newsletter. In 1999, the journal was relaunched as peer-reviewed journal, focussing
on fast electronic publication of articles, supported by non (paper) publishable, electronic items.
