Description
Elsevier's full-text platform, ScienceDirect,
now offers over a quarter of the world's STM (Science, Technical and Medical) articles integrated with a growing range of authoritative
books, including reference works, handbooks and book series.
More than 2,000 journals and hundreds of books from Elsevier - including
prestigious titles such as The Lancet, Cell, Tetrahedron Letters, the Handbooks in Economics Series
and the International Encyclopedia of the Social and Behavioral Sciences - are available on ScienceDirect.
The Backfiles
program also offers the ability to search an electronic archive of millions of articles, back to Volume 1, Issue 1.

Redesign
Nearly 10 years since launch, ScienceDirect
has been redesigned to improve researcher productivity by making this relevant full-text content easier to access.
These new features
include:
- Improving the navigation to facilitate seamless browsing through all types of content
- Expanding the
'quick search' to all pages to enable users to find full-text content more easily
- Creating a customizable homepage which
tracks and displays all recent actions
- Adding a 'My quick link' feature to help you reach other electronic resources more
easily
- Improving the way you set up Personalization features such as alerts and favorites

ScienceDirect Web Editions
ScienceDirect Web Editions offers
web access to the majority of Elsevier Journals that you subscribe to in print. This grants web access to the most recent twelve months
of all your subscribed journal issues on a rolling basis - enabling browsing, downloading and printing articles from your desktop.
Important note: ScienceDirect Web Editions is available to academic and government institutions until March 31, 2008. Unfortunately,
due to the discontinuation of ScienceDirect Web Editions in 2008 we cannot accept new registrations for Web Editions anymore.
