In the world of scientific publishing, the editor plays a major role in the review process that not only improves the quality of the author's contribution, but also contributes to improvements in research as a whole. For such a key position, it is in the interest of the editor, the author and the publisher to discuss ways of improving the quality and speed of the editorial process, thereby attracting the best authors to the journal.
To facilitate this discussion, we host conferences for our editors. They are a unique forum for meeting other Elsevier editors from other sciences and other countries, sharing ideas and learning about new developments in publishing.
