Description
The goal of this issue of Critical Care Nursing Clinics is to present innovative practice models that are evidence-based and have been, or currently are, being implemented in acute and critical care practice environments. The issue contributes toward filling the gap that currently exists between research and practice by illustrating examples of current, evolving, and future models of practice. The current and evolving models presented have been tested, and demonstrated their effectiveness in enriching the nurse's practice environment and/or improving patient care outcomes. The issue closes with a thought provoking and reflective article that explores the development of future practice models.
