Description
In the past decade economics of education has expanded rapidly into new areas of research and has deepened and changed its analysis
of traditional areas, such as educational finance, the production of knowledge, the relation between education and economic growth, and
educational economics and the net. Theories have been significantly modified and new concepts have appeared which require synthesis and
analysis, and naturally necessitate regularized topical publications geared to the audiences that need the data.
This anthology
will serve as a current, topical reference resource on economics in education, replacing the various information sources that academics
must currently use. This work will be of value not only to specialists in education finance, educational administration, economic departments,
government agencies and research corporations involved in educational, human resource, and economic development issues, but also to all
educational researchers and anyone with a general interest in education.
Audience:
The Encyclopedia is recommended not only to specialists in education finance, educational administration, economic departments, government
agencies and research corporations involved in educational, human resource and economic development issues, but to all educational researchers
and anyone with a general interest in education.
