Areas covered include management of essential hypertension, secondary hypertension, patients with multiple risk factors, and complicated management issues. A brief clinical vignette is provided for each case, along with physical findings and lab data, and the reader is encouraged to formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan. The next page reveals the diagnosis, discusses the disorder and the management of the specific patient, and concludes with 3-4 clinical pearls distilled from the case.
