In 2003, Professor Grubbs was awarded Elsevier's Tetrahedron Prize for Creativity in Organic Chemistry, one of the most prestigious international awards in the field of organic chemistry. A special issue of External link  Tetrahedron was compiled and published in his honor.

December 17 at External link  Pacifichem 2005, Honolulu: Professor Grubbs will lecture on "Ruthenium complexes for efficient olefin metathesis catalysis" at Elsevier's 6th Journal of Organometallic Chemistry Symposium, "New Organometallic Compounds for Applications in Homogeneous Catalysis”.
