This serves to announce that the Journal of Energy Finance and Development (JEFD) and Energy Economics (EE) have been merged as of January 2001. The combination will be continued under the name Energy Economics. The ISSN of EE will remain unchanged; vol. 23/1 is the first issue of the new combination.

EE and the JEFD overlap largely in scope, authors and readers -- the range of topics covered by EE is larger than those covered by the JEFD. The merger of the two journals will result in much larger visibility for the papers and authors of both journals, notably the JEFD. Also, it allows EE to further enhance its coverage of topics in energy finance.
