"When asked to become Editor, I was excited by the opportunity to shape an international journal that contains not just technically excellent research, but research that aims to address the gap between what is possible and what is achieved in Health OR."
"The forthcoming issue (Vol. 45, No. 4) of Socio-Economic Planning Sciences (SEPS) marks the completion of the transition between the outgoing and the incoming editorial teams. After 23 years of service to the journal, Barnett Parker stepped down as the editor-in-chief at the end of 2010. We acknowledge his long-term service to the journal."
Operations Research for Health Carewill be edited by Martin Utley, Director of the Clinical Operational Research Unit of University College London.
Launching in January 2012, the journal will focus on the development and use of operations research techniques in health and health care. It will publish high-quality operations research approaches to problems in health care from OR researchers and practitioners, as well as clinicians and those working directly in health policy.
