JARI Awards - Applied Radiation and Isotopes

Dr. John Hubbell wins the JARI Medal Award 2007 posthumously awarded to Mrs. Hubbell

Journal of Applied Radiation and Isotopes

On March 13 2007, the Editorial Board of Applied Radiation and Isotopes (ARI) awarded its JARI Medal to Dr. John Hubbell in recognition of his many important contributions to the field of ionizing radiation during his long career.

The award, first given in 1980 by the Journal Applied Radiation and Isotopes, recognizes a senior scientist who has made outstanding contributions to the field of Radiation Physics.

The award was to have been presented posthumously to his widow, Mrs. Jean Hubbell, at the 16th Annual CIRMS meeting. Unfortunately, Mrs. Hubble was unable to attend that meeting, but we are pleased that the award was presented to her on the 8th of October 2008 at the 17th Annual CIRMS meeting.
