Statistical Methodology / IISA Young Scientist Award 2011
The North Carolina State University (NCSU) Department of Statistics hosted the International Indian Statistical Association (IISA) Conference from April 21–24. The conference, titled “Probability, Statistics, and Data Analysis,” attracted close to 300 participants that included both well-established and emerging young statisticians from Germany, France, South Africa, Canada, Thailand, Singapore, and India.
At this recent International Indian Statistical Association’s annual conference, two young scientists were awarded the Statistical Methodology / IISA Young Scientist Award 2011. One was awarded in ‘Theory’ to Moulinath Banerjee (University of Michigan, USA) and the other in ‘Methods and Applications’ to Pulak Ghosh (Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore).
