Authors of the Elsevier Medical Image Analysis-MICCAI’07 Best Paper Award accepted their prize during the MICCAI 2008 award ceremony at New York University in New York City.  

First place honors went to the contributors of:

Second place was awarded to:
  “Robotic Assistance for Ultrasound-Guided Prostate Brachytherapy”
Co-authored by Gabor Fichtinger, Jonathan P. Fiene, Christopher W. Kennedy, Gernot Kronreif, Iulian Iordachita, Danny Y. Song, Everette C. Burdette, and Peter Kazanzides, Medical Image Analysis 12 (5) (2008)., pp. 535-545.

In addition, Nicholas Ayache was also presented with the   2008 Microsoft Award of the Royal Society and the French Academy of Sciences during a ceremony at the Royal Society in London in October 2008.
