TETRAHEDRON PRIZE 2007 AWARDED TO PROFESSOR SIR J. FRASER STODDART

The Executive Board of Editors and Elsevier, the Publisher of Tetrahedron Publications, are delighted to announce that the Tetrahedron Prize for Creativity in Organic Chemistry for 2007 has been awarded to Professor Sir J. Fraser Stoddart of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).

Professor Sir J. Fraser Stoddart has been awarded the Tetrahedron Prize in recognition of his creative fundamental research in catenane and rotaxane chemistry and its extension into functioning molecular machinery and nanotechnology.

The Tetrahedron Prize was presented to Professor Sir J. Fraser Stoddart at the Fall 2008 ACS National Meeting in Philadelphia. The date for the Prize Symposium and presentation of the Award was Sunday, 17 August 2008.
