Researchers and scholars of all nationalities are eligible to receive Elsevier awards. Nominees are judged on past accomplishments, research excellence, and outstanding academic achievements.
Early career researchers awards
For outstanding researchers at an early stage in their career who have the potential to become leaders in their field. The awards recognize innovative thinking and talent of young researchers around the globe.
Advanced career researchers
For outstanding researchers at a mid-stage in their career, who are leaders in their field, and have a publication history of at least ten years. The awards recognize researchers who embody research excellence through their talent, knowledge and expertise in their field.

Awards for organizations
Honoring higher education and research institutions worldwide, these awards recognize excellence in research performance and contributions made to the scientific development of their home country.
The Elsevier Foundation provides grants to institutions around the world, with a focus on support for the world's libraries, nurse faculty and for scholars in the early stages of their careers. Since its inception in 2002, the Foundation has awarded more than 60 grants worth millions of dollars to non-profit organizations working in these fields.
