Elsevier Publishes New Content for the Oil and Gas Industry

Education and Training for the Oil and Gas Industry book to be featured at Getenergy Global 2014, June 2-4 in London

Waltham, MA, June 2, 2014

Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, today announced the publication of new content for the oil and gas industry, including Getenergy Guide Education and Training for the Oil and Gas Industry: Case Studies in Partnership and Collaboration by Phil Andrews and Jim Playfoot. This new book will be featured at Getenergy Global 2014, June 2-4, 2014 in London. Four additional books were also published, expanding the depth of content available from Elsevier for the oil and gas industry.

Education and Training for the Oil and Gas Industry: Case Studies in Partnership and Collaboration is the first of four Getenergy Guides and focuses on the development of global standards in education and training in the oil and gas industry through partnership and collaboration. The book considers the current political and economic context for this within oil and gas producing countries. It maps out key stakeholders, explores current education and training provision, gathers perspectives from industry and from national oil companies, and develops a manifesto for education and training in the oil and gas industry globally.

Phil Andrews is a co-founder and the CEO of Getenergy. He sits on the Board of the Higher Education Academy and is an Honorary Life Member of Nottingham University. Jim Playfoot is the Research Director at Getenergy, as well as co-founder and Managing Director of White Loop. He sits on the board of the Business Leadership Review, a publication run by the Association of MBAs in London, and is a regular contributor.
