Uploading Supplementary Material in Elsevier Editorial System (EES)
When you upload supplementary material to EES, it can be made available to all readers after publication.
If the journal you are submitting to accepts supplementary material, after acceptance this material will be available on ScienceDirect along with your published paper. As journals have different policies regarding supplementary material, please check the journal Guide for Authors for details. To locate the Guide for Authors for a journal, please go to the journal’s homepage (which you can find using the Journal Finder) and follow the Guide for Authors link in the right hand menu.
For ease of download, the recommended upper limit for the size of a single file is 10 MB. When the size of a single file is bigger than this, some users may experience problems when downloading the file. Whenever possible, therefore, this limit should be adhered to.
In some journals Tables and Figures may also be submitted as Inline Supplementary Material, appearing in context in the body of the online (HTML) article. For more information about Inline Supplementary Material, please click here.
