Structure
The cuneiform cartilage is formed from elastic cartilage. It is suspended within the aryepiglottic fold and sits anterior and superior to the corniculate cartilage.

The cuneiform cartilages can be seen as raised portions of mucosa when viewing the aryepiglottic folds of the larynx during a laryngoscope.
