Knovel: Foster success in the classroom and beyond

Employers expect entry-level engineers to be well-prepared for their jobs and to help solve the increasingly complex engineering problems in today's world. Using the same engineering tools and resources as professionals in the field allows students to be better prepared for a technology-driven workplace and highly competitive job market.

Hundreds of thousands of professors, researchers, and students from top engineering schools worldwide rely on Knovel, including leading universities for Mechanical, Aeronautical, Chemical and Manufacturing Engineering. We help engineering students save time, incorporate technical information into their work, and expand their knowledge.

Bringing people together with the Engineering Academic Challenge

On September 18th, Engineering Academic Challenge kicks off again in 2017. This five-week challenge gives librarians around the world the chance to bridge the gap between the library, students and faculty. The EAC offers students a game-based learning experience to build core research skills while creating solutions to engineering grand challenges, harnessing the combined power of Knovel and Engineering Village. All subscribers of Knovel and/or Engineering Village are eligible to play.

These are the steps to becoming an EAC vlogger:

  1. Download the Seenit Capture app from the Apple Store or Google Play
  2. Join our project by entering the project name: elseviereac2017
  3. Record your 30second video on the 3 topics.
  4. Enjoy other contestants’ videos!
