Ineed to publish open access, so can I do this?
Yes, ofcourse! All our linguistics journals have both ‘gold’ and ‘green’ open accessoptions. For more information, have a look at the relevant journal’s homepageor https://www.elsevier.com/about/open-science/open-access. Don’t forget there is also ourflagship pure OA journal: Ampersand.
Howdo I submit to your journals?
Thereare submission instructions on each journal’s homepage. Just have a look at the‘Guide for Authors’ on the top left of each homepage and then, when you’reready: click ‘submit your paper’ just underneath the guide for authors button.
Howdo I find out the IF of the journal?
If ajournal is included in the Journal Citation Reports, then its Impact Factorwill be displayed and promoted on the homepage. Check out the ‘Journal Metrics’box on the left hand side and the IF (if there is one for that journal) will bethere along with other metrics like the SJR and SNIP. You can also explore ajournal’s metrics in the “Journal Insights” box.
Howlong does it take to get published in the Journal of Pragmatics?
Theaverage editorial time for JoP (at the time of writing – August 2015) is 30weeks to final decision and then it’s just four weeks for online publicationand another six for print publication.
