Mrs. Anneke Andriessen is an RN, PA, PhD, with a Post Graduate training in Management, Higher Post Graduate Training in Innovations and Health Care Science, Clinical Research and Management. Since 2001, she has her own consultancy company, Andriessen Consultants, clinical innovators in Dermatology and medical tissue repair. Anneke is a visiting Professor for UMC St Radboud University Nijmegen, NL, Catholic University, Lisbon and Oporto, Portugal and Akademie-ZWM, Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
She is a Clinical Advisor of biotechnology institutes such as TNO, Eindhoven, The Netherlands and private equity groups, such as APAX, GSO.
From 1971 to 1989 she held various positions at University hospitals in the Netherlands and Europe, among which, trouble-shooter and interim manager. She was a founding member of the Dutch Wound Care Society and the National Interdisciplinary Working Group for preparation of medical standards, CBO. She served on many committees such as: The National Committee for the planning of health care professionals, Committee on preparation of legislation on euthanasia, Committee on national registration of health care professionals.
In 1989 she joined Smith & Nephew, where till 2001 held a position of Senior International Clinical Specialist at the Wound Management Global Business Unit. She was instrumental in introducing the clinical concept of sustained compression therapy for leg ulcers to for instance Canada, Ireland, Germany and Spain. She is co-author/editor of a standard book on Compression and Lymphedema Therapy, addressing standards for Europe. She authored and co-authored on Dermatology, Wound Management, Research and Standards, Ostomy Management and had numerous publications in Journals such as: Archives of Dermatology, Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, Pharmaceutical Journal, Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Journal of Wound Care, WOUNDS, Journal of Vascular Surgery, JEADV and American Journal of Plastic Surgery. She presented her research at a broad spectrum of medical and healthcare congresses and built a worldbuilt a worldbuilt a worldbuilt a worldbuilt a worldbuilt a worldbuilt a world-wide network of Clinical Specialists on wide network of Clinical Specialists on Dermatology and Wound Management.
