Michael Malim was educated in the U.K., and after holding post-doctoral and faculty posts in the U.S., moved to King’s College London in 2001, where he is currently the Head of the Division of Immunology, Infection and Inflammatory Disease. His research employs molecular genetic, cultured cell, biochemical, structural, bioinformatic and cohort-based methodologies to study the biological principles that underpin HIV replication and pathogenesis (AIDS). Current areas of focus include host-virus interactions, cell-encoded mechanisms of anti-viral resistance and virus particle assembly.
