The Journal of Nutrition is the premier journal in its field and publishes peer-reviewed original research papers covering all aspects of experimental nutrition in humans and other animal species; special articles such as reviews and biographies of prominent nutrition scientists; and issues, opinions, and commentaries on controversial issues in nutrition.
The Journal of Nutrition is an official monthly publication of the American Society for Nutrition (ASN) and focuses on the review of manuscripts that address human, animal, population, cellular, and molecular nutrition. JN is especially interested in publishing manuscripts that advance the understanding of nutritional mechanisms in human populations, in animals, in relevant model organisms, in appropriate primary cells or cell culture models, and/or at the molecular level. Manuscripts addressing interactions of nutrition with genetics, physiological regulation, health outcomes, and behavioral outcomes are generally well suited for review by The Journal of Nutrition.
