As an open access journal with no subscription charges, a fee is payable by the author or research funder to cover the costs associated with publication. This ensures your article will be immediately and permanently free to access by everyone.
The gold open access publication fee for this journal is USD 1250, excluding taxes.

Elsevier has established agreements with funding bodies, including Wellcome Trust and Research Councils UK. This ensures authors can comply with funding body open access policies and may also be reimbursed for their publication fees by their funding body.
For open access publishing, this journal uses an exclusive licensing agreement. Authors will transfer copyright to the the Westerdijk Fungal Biodiversity Institute, but will have the right to share their article in the same way permitted to third parties under the relevant user license, as well as certain scholarly usage rights.
This journal publishes 1 volume a year and follows an article-based publishing model.
