Dr. Pingqing Fu is Full Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry and Biogeochemistry at the Institute of Surface-Earth System Science, Tianjin University, China. He obtained a PhD in Geochemistry at the Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004 and further had a post-doc fellowship at Hokkaido University, Japan until 2011. Dr. Fu returned to Beijing in 2011 and joined the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences as Full Professor since then. He joined Tianjin University as Chair Professor in early 2018.
Prof. Fu’s research interests focus on organic matter in the atmosphere at a molecular level as it relates to long-range transport, photochemical degradation, land/ocean-atmosphere interaction, and climate change.
He has authored or co-authored more than 140 papers or chapters in international journals or books. Prof. Fu has made numerous contributions to international conferences as presenter or chairman. He also serves as Associate Editor of npj Climate and Atmospheric Science.
