Dr. Kun Yang is Professor of Environmental Chemistry in Department of Environmental Sciences at Zhejiang University since 2010 and the Department Chair since 2011. His scientific focus is on the environmental behavior of organic chemicals and engineered nano-particles, the synthesis and characterization of porous adsorbents, and the surfactant-enhanced remediation of contaminated soils. To date he has authored more than 60 technical journal articles with ISI citations of more than 2000 and an H index of 26. His research works were financed by a number funding including National Outstanding Youth Fund and Excellent Young Scientist Fund in Zhejiang Province. He is a professional and technical talent in state environmental protection and a New Century Excellent Talent in Universities of China. He is also an Associate Editor for J. Zhejiang Univ-Sci. A. He was awarded the State Natural Science Prize (the top prize in the field of basic research of China) in 2013 and 4 prizes in Natural Science and Technology from government of Zhejiang Province or Ministry of Education of China.
