  • Prof. Dr. Wunderlin obtained his PhD in Organic Chemistry in 1987 at the National University of Córdoba (Argentina). Afterwards, he completed his first post-doctoral work at the University of Dortmund (Germany) and a second post-doc at Leibnitz Institute for Freshwater Ecology (Berlin, Germany) with fellows from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He is in charge of graduate and postgraduate courses of organic chemistry, food chemistry and food technology. He supervised thirteen PhD, seven Masters in Science, in addition to thirteen post-doctoral works. Current positions include: Full Professor (tenure) at the National University of Córdoba (UNC; Argentine), Faculty of Chemical Sciences, Organic Chemistry Dept. (2009-present position). He also reached the maximal category as Superior Researcher at CONICET (National Research Council–Argentina; 2010-Present position). At present he is the Director of ICYTAC (Institute for Food Science and Technology; supported by both CONICET and UNC) (2012- Present position). www.icytac.conicet.unc.edu.ar/. Dr. Wunderlin is consultant for UN-IAEA/ FAO in topics related food safety and integrity in relation to environmental issues. At present, Dr. Wunderlin has been elected as vice-president of the Latin-American Chapter of the Society for Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC-LA)(2018-2019). Dr. Wunderlin´s expertise include ecotoxicology, environmental chemistry, integrated evaluation of environmental pollutants, water pollution, food and pollution. His publication record includes over 105 papers in peer reviewed journals, book and book chapters.
