Dr. Andrew Gray is an Assistant Professor of Watershed Hydrology at the University of California, Riverside in the Department of Environmental Sciences. He received his PhD. in Hydrologic Sciences from the University of California, Davis in 2014 with a dissertation focused on fluvial sediment dynamics in small mountainous river. Dr. Gray’s research investigates the role of fluvial sediments in determining water quality, fluvial geomorphology and the health of aquatic ecosystems. Particular interests include coastal environments and role of humans and climate in controlling sediment production and transport dynamics. Projects in Dr. Gray’s laboratory employ field observations, historical research, remote sensing and sedimentological techniques synthesized through frameworks founded in forensic analysis.
