Journal of Hydrology X is a peer reviewed, open access journal.
The Editors and editorial process for Journal of Hydrology X are the same as for Journal of Hydrology, providing the same reputable peer-review and high standards. New articles should be submitted to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Hydrology, who will handle the peer review for both the Journal of Hydrology and the Journal of Hydrology X. The author choice of access model will be blinded to the Editors, ensuring the final content is the same as for Journal of Hydrology. Subscription model articles will be published in Journal of Hydrology.
All articles published open access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read, download, copy and distribute. Permitted reuse is defined by your choice of one of the following user licenses:
Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (CC BY-NC-ND): for non-commercial purposes, lets others distribute and copy the article, and to include in a collective work (such as an anthology), as long as they credit the author(s) and provided they do not alter or modify the article.Open Access Publication Fee
The article publishing charge (APC) that authors, their institutions or funding bodies pay, covers all expenses needed to support the publication process. The APC to publish a paper in Journal of Hydrology X is USD 3200 (plus VAT and local taxes where applicable).
If you or your institution can't afford the APC, we'll consider your request to waive the fee. We do this on a case-by-case basis, and we may be able to grant waivers in some instances. If you're from a country that's eligible for the Research4Life program, we'll give your application priority. Please make any requests to waive the APC upon the submission of your paper to Journal of Hydrology X.Funding Body Agreements
As a Journal of Hydrology X author, you'll be complying with your funding body's requirements, and may be eligible to get your APC refunded by your funding body. Visit Elsevier's Funding Body Agreements list for details about agreements and arrangements.
For open access publishing this journal uses an exclusive licensing agreement. Authors will retain copyright alongside scholarly usage rights and Elsevier will be granted publishing and distribution rights.
